Work through the course in order. First practice roles, then question-and-evidence talk, and finally respectful disagreement. Keep each practice round short and ask the student to say their thinking out loud.

Completion

A student finishes this course when they can take part in a short book club discussion, ask thoughtful questions, point to text evidence, and disagree respectfully.
