This course helps Pre-Elementary students hear letter sounds, connect those sounds to picture words, and begin reading a few very familiar first words.

Parent guide

Pace this course over a few short sessions and keep each one light and playful. Let the child hear, repeat, point, and say the words out loud. If a lesson feels hard, go back to the sound and picture match before moving ahead.

Completion

A student finishes this course when they can say several letter sounds, match a few beginning sounds to picture words, and read a handful of first words with help or on their own.
