Course overview

This course helps Grade 2 students notice the building blocks of a sentence. Students learn to find nouns and verbs, add adjectives and pronouns, and finish complete sentences with the right punctuation.

Parent guide

Read short sentences with your child and pause to name the noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, or end mark. Keep practice short and oral first, then let the child copy one sentence or write one new sentence after each lesson.

Completion

A student finishes this course when they can point out common parts of speech in a sentence and write a complete sentence with the correct ending punctuation.
